There are generally two types of content available on this site: presentations that have been made by various individuals at the meetings of the Data Model Committee, and data model materials consisting of diagrams, design documents, and database schema.  Use restrictions on these different types of material are as follows:

For presentation materials:

Any file that is made available to download from this server ("File") is the copyrighted work of the author and/or its suppliers. Use of the File is solely for use by end users and any reproduction or redistribution of the File for commercial or personal use without written consent is expressly prohibited by law and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties.

 For Data Model materials:

These documents are licensed under the Open Source Initiative (OSI) Apache License

The license states, in essence:
--  Parties who download the materials have a perpetual right to use them.
--  Parties may incorporate the material in their own commercial work should they choose.
--  If there is source distributed, parties must distinguish between their work and the BISDM work
--  Parties must include in their notices a note that they use the BISDM data model
--  Parties must include a reference to the apache 2.0 license.
